Introduction

The Department of English was established in 2018 at Special and General level with Two Full time and One visiting/ contractual faculty

The students of English Department also participated in the competitions organised by the other colleges. Student centric activities are arranged so as to create interest among students regarding the English language and literature such as Paper Presentation, Public Speaking, Elocution Competition, Paper Reading Competition, Group Discussion, Movie Review, Book Review, Seminars, Poetry Recitation Competition, etc.

Thus, the department is constantly making these activities as conducive as possible so as to enable students to nurture their literary and linguistic abilities in English.

"To facilitate the English learners to learn the language effectively and help them to understand linguistic and literary texts and assist them to acquire command over the target language."
